What's Alpha???
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith
in a relaxed setting over twelve thought-provoking weekly sessions.

It's low-key, friendly and fun.  It's supported by all the main Christian denominations.  Alpha is a worldwide phenomenon. It's found in over 160 countries.  It's run in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations. More than 13 million people have taken the opportunity to explore the meaning of life. Perhaps it's your turn.

In each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile.  Questions such as:

• Is there a God?
• Why am I here?
• Where am I going?
• Why is the Christian walk so hard?
• Why does really bad stuff happen to good people who believe in God?
• Why is there evil?

Listen, learn, discuss and discover -- and ask anything.  it will all be done in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over the course of ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. Each Wednesday we'll have dinner with the Wonderful Wednesday group at 5:30 p.m. in the Celebration Center.  Then we'lll meet at 6:15 in Room 25.   Each session includes:

Dinner -- 5:30 p.m.:  A light meal together at the beginning of each session that gives people a chance to get to know each other.
Talk -- 6:15 p.m.:  A 45-minute video is shown.
Coffee and Small Groups -- 7:00 p.m.:  After each video we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of the evening, ask questions and express opinions.

Everyone is welcome!  Non-churched, some-churched and regular church members who feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith.  Come join us and explore with us!
