Grace Walk for Water

Dear Family and Friends of Grace,

I'm writing to invite you to join the Grace UMC team at the 2018 Walk for Water on Saturday, March 17th at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. We enjoy a ready supply of safe water here in Charleston, and we can help bring safe water to people in desperate need all over the world. Sunday School classes, small groups, and committees of Grace are encouraged to pull together for the walk.

What is the Walk for Water? An amazing one-day event that simulates the average walk that millions take to collect dirty water every single day: 3.5 miles. The Walk for Water is hosted by Water Mission, and it's raised almost a million dollars for safe water in the past three years.

Why do we walk? For awareness, hope, joy, health, safe water, sanitation, and life. We walk because 1.8 billion people lack access to safe water, and we dream of a world in which every man, woman, and child has safe water.

What is Water Mission? Water Mission is a non-profit Christian engineering organization based right here in Charleston, that provides safe water and sanitation solutions for developing countries and disaster areas around the world.

Because of people like you, Water Mission has provided access to safe water to 3 million people in 52 countries. This number is rising every day, and you can be a part of it.

Click here to register for the March 17th walk online (join team "Grace UMC") or let me know and I will be happy to help you register. If you would prefer to support the Grace Team with a donation, place your check (made payable to Grace UMC with "Water Mission" on the memo line) in the collection plate. Check out the Walk for Water website for more information.

Thank you!
