People can come up with multiple excuses to stay home on Sundays.  Therefore, we have put together multiple reasons to swing by Grace this fall.

Worship

Now is a great time to join us for worship.  We have Spirit-filled worship with relevant preaching.

Connect

Your newest friends are waiting to meet you at Grace UMC, were we connect with each-other and with God.

Grow

We have multiple Sunday School classes that meet people where they are in their journey's of faith.  Chances are we have a class that would be perfect for you.

School Supply Drive

Drop off your donation of school supplies on or before August 11th and help children in this area get ready to go back to school.

Blessing of Students & Teachers

We start the school year off by blessing all our students, teachers, and administrators.  You can attend either the 9am or 11am service on August 13th to receive this blessing.

College Football Tailgate

We celebrate the return of college football with a tailgate cook out after our 11am service on Sunday, August 25th.  Everyone is asked to bring canned food donations for our Acts of Grace food pantry and place their donation on the table for their favorite college.  The team (table) with the most food by weight will be deemed the best college football fans for the year.  Last year's results were (listed in pounds of donated food):

Citadel 935
University of South Carolina 654
Clemson 198
Tennessee 174
Midland Tech (Columbia SC) 125
Ohio State 73
Other 69
Alabama 40
Florida State 18
Florida 17
Georgia 12

Items to donate

Church Pink-Out

Wear pink and show your support for people who face cancer head on.  Our Pink-Out will be on Sunday, September 29th at our combined 10am worship service (we have a combined 10am service every 5th Sunday).  We will take up a special offering for Hope Lodge, a local non-profit that helps patients and families who battle cancer.

Blessing of the Animals

Bring your pet by the front of Grace UMC (under the portico) any time between 9am and 10am on Saturday, October 5th.  We will bless any and all creatures you bring.  For the safety of all animals, we ask that all animals be leashed or crated.

All Saints Sunday

All Saints Sunday will be celebrated on Sunday, November 3rd at both our 9am and 11am services.  You are invited to bring a keepsake that reminds you of a saint that has joined the Church Triumphant.  Please bring your keepsake to worship on Sunday the 3rd and place it in the front row pews at least 10 minutes before the service begins.  A member of our worship committee will place your keepsake on the altar as a reminder for all of us of the saints who have gone on before us.

YOUR HOST IS READY

Visiting a church can be nerve-racking, worrying where to park, where to go, when to sit and when to stand.  To help you feel welcome we have hosts to show you around.  They will talk with you before you even get here and answer any questions you might have.  They will also meet with you when you get here, show you around the campus, introduce you to people, and sit with you during worship.  Just fill out the form below and you will be contacted by your host.  You are always welcome to visit us without a host, too.  Just swing by on a Sunday and see what all the buzz is about.
